E. Carrington Family Enrichment Center offers H.O.P.E. (Healthy & Objective Parenting Education), a state approved parent education class. The class is led by instructors who have undergone the training required by the Commonwealth of Virginia and have studied and researched the latest information about the importance of parent involvement after separation or divorce. The classes are child-focused and include lecture, discussion and video. Topics covered include the impact of separation on children, parallel parenting and co-parenting strategies, and the needs and rights of your children. This class meets the parent education guidelines established by the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Please note: Children may not attend the group meetings, and may not be left unattended in the car or wait in the agency's lobby.

 PLEASE NOTE:

1. Due to COVID-19, all H.O.P.E. classes are currently held virtually. We offer classes on varying Saturdays from 8am-12pm and Thursdays from 4:30pm-8:30pm. Specific dates are listed on the registration form.
2. The cost of the class is $50 and must be paid online prior to attending. You will need to have access to a reliable computer with a webcam, microphone and stable internet connection. The class will be hosted using the Zoom platform and requires that you download the application prior to the meeting. More information will be provided upon registration.
3. You must register online. Please note that in order for the class to convene we must have 3 or more participants. We will inform you by email if the class is cancelled due to a lack of participants. All participants who successfully participate and engage in the class will be presented with a certificate of completion at the end of the class.
4. By attending a virtual HOPE class you are committing to full confidentiality, all content shared by participants is considered private information. When submitting the registration form, you will be providing a virtual agreement to our terms of conduct and confidentiality.
